IMAGEAXS 4.0 MACINTOSH USER’S GUIDE
Acquire From Removable Media dialog box
STEP 9 Follow the instructions in the Acquire from Removable Media
dialog box to set preferences.
Use the radio button options to choose whether to copy files
to the folder you selected in Step 4 and/or delete them from
the disk or other removable media.
The options are as follows:
• Acquire Without Moving/Copying Files
Makes data records for the files on the disk or other media
without copying them to the folder you selected in Step 4 or
deleting them from their original location.
• Copy Files, Then Acquire
Copies all files from the disk or other media to the folder
you selected in Step 4, then makes data records for those
files (based on the location of the copied files). The files are
not deleted from their original location.
• Move Files, Then Acquire
Copies all files from the disk or other media to the folder
you selected in Step 4, makes data records for those files,
and then deletes the files from their original location.
NOTE
The Move Files, Then Acquire option is the most efficient choice for
acquiring digital film images from PCMCIA or SmartMedia cards,
FlashCards, or similar media. It allows you to download and acquire your
files automatically, then eject the empty media card (see below) for use in
taking more pictures.
• Eject Disk After Acquiring Files
Ejects the disk or other media after all files on it have been
moved or copied (if you selected either of these options)
and acquired by ImageAXS.
