Deleting Records
When you delete a record, you can choose to delete the
source file for the record at the same time. Similarly, when
you delete a source file, you can choose to delete the data
record for that source file (see “Deleting Source Files” on
page 115).
To delete records from a collection or portfolio:
1. Select the record(s) you want to delete and choose Delete
Record from the Record menu, or (if you are using a
Power Macintosh) hold down the
CTRL
key and click a
record, then choose Delete Record from the contextual
pop-up menu that appears.

2. Click to select the Delete __ Selected Record(s) from
Collection checkbox.
If you selected records in a portfolio window, click
to select Delete __ Selected Record(s) From This
Portfolio to remove the record from the portfolio
without deleting it from the collection.
Records that are deleted from a collection window
are automatically removed from any portfolios
within that collection.
