14.2.3 Schedule
The Schedule sub-menu allows you to configure the recording schedule for continuous
and motion recording. It also allows you to configure holiday, pre-recording, and mirroring
settings.
Note
To use motion recording, motion detection must be enabled for the channel. For details, see 14.2.14 Mo-
tion, page 38.
1. Under Channel, select the channel you would like to configure or select All.
2. Under Period, select the day of the week you would like to configure, or select Holiday
or All.
3. Configure up to 6 separate schedule periods.
Configure the start and end time for the time period on the left.
Check the types of recording that will apply to the time period on the right: Continu-
ous, MD (Motion Detection), Alarm, or MD&Alarm.
A visual representation of the current schedule is shown below.
4. (Optional) Click Copy to copy the selected schedule to other channels. Select the
channels you would like to copy to and click OK.
5. Click OK to save changes.
14.2.4 Configuring Pre-Recording and Mirror Recording
Pre-recording determines the amount of time the system will record before events. Mirror-
ing allows the camera to record simultaneously to a secondary mirror hard drive and pri-
mary recording hard drive.
Note
Secondary hard drive must be installed and configured to use mirror recording function.
To configure pre-recording and mirror recording:
1. Under Channel, select the camera you would like to configure or select All.
2. Under PreRecord, select the duration for pre-recording.
3. Check Mirroring to enable mirror recording for the selected channel.
4. Click OK to save settings.
14.2.5 Configuring Holidays
Holiday settings allow you to configure a special recording schedule on certain days.
