Digidesign ASIO Driver is automatically in-
stalled when you install Pro Tools.
Digidesign WaveDriver
The Digidesign WaveDriver is a single-client,
multichannel sound driver that allows third-
party audio programs that support the
WaveDriver MME (Multimedia Extensions)
standard to play back through Digidesign hard-
ware.
Digidesign WaveDriver is automatically in-
stalled when you install Pro Tools.
Pro Tools Demo Session
The Pro Tools LE Installer CD includes a demo
session that you can use to verify that your sys-
tem is working.
To install the demo session:
1 Insert the Pro Tools LE Installer CD in your
CD-ROM drive. Locate and double-click
Setup.exe, in D (CD-ROM drive):\Additional
Files\Pro Tools LE Demo Session Installer.
2 Set the install location to your audio drive and
click Install.
3 When installation is complete, click OK.
MacOpener
MacOpener 6.0.5 and higher lets you mount
HFS/HFS+ drives on a Windows-based Pro Tools
system, as a Transfer drive.

To use Digidesign ASIO Driver without
Pro Tools, use the stand-alone version of
the Digidesign ASIO Driver. The stand-
alone version of Digidesign ASIO Driver is
available on the Digidesign Web site

Before installing the demo session to your
audio drive, make sure the drive is config-
ured as described in “Formatting an Audio
Drive” on page 16.
Transfer drives can be used for storage, but
not for playback or recording.
The MacDrive utility can be used instead of
MacOpener. For more information about
