multiple routings. The output will now say Analog 1 & 2 stereo with a "+" sign: + Analog 1 & 2.
To change the outputs of all the audio and auxiliary tracks simultaneously, hold down the control and option key
(mac) or the Start and Alt keys (win).
You can control the output level of these tracks by creating an additional Stereo Master fader for the SPDIF output.
(File menu > New Track. Create a Stereo Master Fader. Set the output to S/PDIF L & R stereo).
This new Stereo Master fader will control the output going to the S/PDIF output on the Digi 002.

My I/O labels keep changing when working with sessions of different sample rates.
I/O setup is easiest to manage if all routings are defaulted upon each coarse sample rate resolution change.

On Windows XP there is no way to adjust the Digi 002 WaveDriver settings outside of Pro Tools LE.
These settings include H/W buffer size, Ch 1-2 Format, and Advanced Settings.
The Digi 002 WaveDriver Setup.exe file installs as a program and the Digidesign WaveDriver does not list in Device
Manager the way it does in previous manual WaveDriver installations.
You will see Digidesign Digi 002 listed in the Sounds and Audio Devices control panel under the Audio tab.

Sampletank and bundled 002 plugs-ins are not playing back. I can see level on the MIDI track but no
level on the aux track.
SampleTank uses RAM to playback samples. 320 MB of RAM is recommended to use Pro Tools LE 5.3.2 with
SampleTank.

Noise pops are emitted from the Digi 002 Monitor Outputs while making a FireWire connection with
computer.
It is recommended to always use the hardware MUTE button when connecting/disconnecting a FireWire drive to the
computer.

What are the steps for the most stable Digi 002 system boot-up?
1) Start with CPU and all FireWire devices powered-off.
2) Connect FireWire drive(s) to CPU.
3) Connect 002 to FireWire drive(s) or to second FireWire port on CPU.
4) Boot CPU.
5) Once CPU is up, boot FireWire drives.
6) Once drives mount, boot 002.
Note: The main point here is that most stable FireWire performance occurs if the CPU is booted before FireWire
peripherals are powered-on.
Note #2: We suggest connecting FireWire components while everything is powered-off to help guard against the
possibility of a bad (dangerous) connection once everything's powered-on.
