When I try to launch Pro Tools LE for Windows the message "This demonstration version of ______ has
expired" appears.
After installing and activating a Plug-In Demo, it will be available for a period of 15 days. Once the trial period has
elapsed, you will need to remove the expired Plug-In(s) to avoid the Plug-In expiration notices that will occur while
launching Pro Tools. To Remove an expired Plug-In, choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove
Programs. Highlight the expired Plug-In on the list of programs and choose the "Add/Remove" button to delete the
Plug-In.
Digidesign provides demonstration versions of D-Fi, D-FX, DINR, Focusrite d2, Focusrite d3, Maxim, and
SoundReplacer Plug-Ins that can be used with Pro-Tools LE 5.1.1 for Windows. To Install the Demo Plug-Ins:

Are Pro Tools LE for Windows sessions transferable to Pro Tools LE for Macintosh?
With the release of Pro Tools LE 5.1, sessions are transferable between Mac and Windows systems. For more
information, see page 107 of the Pro Tools 5.1 Reference Guide available from the "Help" menu in Pro Tools LE..
How to create a cross platform session:
* Since Pro Tools 5.1 is the first to support cross platform functionality, both systems must be using Pro Tools 5.1
(or later) to make this possible.
* Open the desired session(s) on the original system.
* Choose File>Save Session Copy In...
* Choose either AIFF or WAV for the Audio File Type
* Enable the "Enforce Mac/PC Compatibility"option
In Pro Tools 5.0.1 on the Windows platform, you can bring your Windows 98 SE Pro Tools LE sessions to a Windows
NT TDM system, and bring Windows NT TDM sessions back to Windows 98 SE Pro Tools LE. The same integration
Between LE/TDM is also possible on the Macintosh Platform. True cross platform support for Macintosh and Windows
98 SE Pro Tools LE requires Pro Tools LE 5.1 or higher.

How can I avoid -9093 errors on my Pro Tools LE system?
On some Windows systems, the network device/driver can cause -9093 errors while using Pro Tools LE with small
(128 or 256) H/W buffer sizes. One workaround is obviously to raise the H/W buffer size to 512 or 1024, but this
results in larger (and undesirable) input-to-output latencies in Pro Tools. There are a few workarounds that allow H/
W buffers of 128 to work on most systems. (Both involve temporarily disabling your network device.)
Option 1: Manually Disable the Network Device in your (default) Hardware Profile.
Go to the Windows Control Panel and open the "System" applet. On the "Device Manager" tab, expand the "Network
adapters" item, and then double click on the icon for your network device. A properties dialog will open. On the
"General" tab you'll see a checkbox for "Disable in this hardware profile." Check this box and close all the dialogs.
