How to setup power schemes and screensavers for use with Pro Tools LE for Win98 SE and WinME.
Right-click anywhere on your Desktop, select PROPERTIES.
Click the SCREEN SAVER tab. Set the Screen Saver to None.
Click the SETTINGS button in the Energy Saver area. Set the Turn off Monitor, and Turn off Hard Disks, and System
Standby to NEVER. Then Click Apply.

How do Reduce Video Hardware Acceleration to improve system performance on Win98 SE and WinME?
How to do this:
- Right-click MY COMPUTER, select PROPERTIES. Click the PERFORMANCE tab, click the Graphics button.
- Hardware acceleration has 4 options. More than likely yours will be set at Full. This is usually fine, but sometimes
some systems will run better if this setting is either on NONE or the first notch (Basic). Try one or both of these
settings, and if it doesn't help, you can always set it back up to Full.

How do I improve disk performance with Pro Tools LE for Win98 SE and WinME?
Limiting your VCACHE may help.
Go to START MENU > RUN > type NOTEPAD C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.INI and press Enter.
Scroll down about half way through the document to [Vcache]. It will probably not have anything directly under it.
Add these two lines:
MaxFileCache=8192
MinFileCache=8192
These settings may not be optimal for all systems. Use with caution.
