How can I get Mac sessions to load from CD-ROM?
Pro Tools will not allow you to open Mac sessions from CD-ROM. You must copy the session on to an HFS (Mac)
volume that is mounted on the system.

Mac opener will allow you to format hard drives attached to the system as Mac volumes, this will allow you to
temporarily or permanently dedicate a local volume for file transfer.

Will my keys survive if I format my hard drive?
Yes. Your keys will survive a high level format. You can destroy them by doing a low level format using the format
utility found in your computers BIOS. You should also avoid using anti virus software as it my damage
authorizations or key disks.

What are some basic/optimum settings for Pro Tools on OS 9.x? ( TDM Mac )
- Appearance Control Panel > Fonts, change all fonts to Chicago & Disable "Smooth all fonts on screen."
- Under Sound, set Soundtrack to "none."
- In the Energy Saver Control Panel Set sleep time to "Never."
- In the Memory Control Panel Select "Custom" twice under Disk Cache and set it to 512k. You will see a warning
regarding system performance. Do Not Panic! This warning does not affect Pro Tools' performance. 512k is the
optimum setting.
