What drive formatting is supported in Pro Tools on OS X?
There are 3 types of hard disk drive formats used in Mac OS X: HFS (aka Mac OS Standard), HFS+ (aka Mac OS
Extended) and UFS (Unix File System). When formatting drives for use with Pro Tools USE ONLY HFS+. This
includes the boot drive (where the Operating System resides). Drives formatted HFS or UFS will most likely be
incompatible with Pro Tools on OS X.
