2.5.1.4 System
Device Identity, SNMP and Log settings are configured in this section.
Device Identity Settings:
Complete these fields to provide detailed information to identify a device. Enter a
description, contact information, and/or location.
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Settings
Enable SNMP: This allows the administrator to manage the Digi Wi-Point 3G
through the SNMP protocol. Specify the Public community name and Private
community name to enable the SNMP Manager to access the Digi Wi-Point 3G.
The Digi Wi-Point 3G supports SNMP traps. To enable this function, you must
specify the IP address of Trap destination (server) and Trap Interval, which
indicates the frequency that the device sends trap information.
Log Settings: Configure the Log method here. The Digi Wi-Point 3G can display
the Syslog entries in the Web GUI and send the Syslog entries to a remote syslog
