15.4 DMI MADI (B or C)
MADI Sample Rate Display Shows the sample rate of the MADI card
96kHz Mode There are 2 MADI standards when running at 96 kHz, SMUX (48k frame) and High
Speed (true or 96k frame).
96Khz SMUX MADI uses a native 48 kHz clock which the DMI can detects and report. This 48kHz SMUX
clock cannot be differentiated from a standard 48 kHz without intervention.
If SMUX Mode is required, the SMUX mode needs to be manually set. This is done by clicking the SMUX
box located above each MADI type drop down.
MADI Mode Selection There are 3 options for the MADI Mode
MADI 64 is for connecting to MADI 64 devices and will give 64 inputs and 64 outputs
SD Console is for connecting to a DiGiCo SD console. This should be selected for
tie lining between the 4REA4 and a DiGiCo SD console.
Rack Control is for connecting to DiGiCo racks (SD Rack types, D2-Racks or D-Racks). If in Rack Control
mode, there will be some Rack Sharing modes to choose from. In order to send control data to the
connected Rack, select “Full Control” mode.
