14. Appendix C – Template Sessions
Template Sessions provide a quick starting point by giving you a simple and familiar layout.
They may contain default Snapshots to reset some of the 4REA4 settings such as strip assign layout to a
known starting point.
They also have default Snapshot Global and Area Safe settings that will serve as a logical starting point for
configurations – these settings can be changed and the sessions resaved as User sessions.
The “Template Blank” session has:
• A single Area out assigned to Bank 3 in each of the 4 Areas
• A “Layout” Snapshot in each of the 4 Areas that only affects the Strip Assign in each of those Areas
• NOTE: If you use this template session and subsequently change the strip assign layout it is
advisable to update the “Layout” Snapshots accordingly.
The “Template Full” session has:
• A single Area out assigned to Bank 3 in each of the 4 Areas
• Input Channels 1-128 assigned to Area 1 Bank 1
• A “Layout” Snapshot in each of the 4 Areas that only affects the Strip Assign in each of those Areas
• NOTE: If you use this template session and subsequently change the strip assign layout it is
advisable to update the “Layout” Snapshots accordingly.
Bus architecture:
• 8 Groups (4 Mono, 4 Stereo) – assigned to Bank 3, Layer 2
• 4 FX Sends (2 Mono, 2 Stereo) – assigned to Bank 3, Layer 4
• 4 Stereo FX Returns – assigned to Bank 3, Layer 4
• 8 Aux (4 Mono, 4 Stereo) – assigned to Bank 3, Layer 1
• 8 Matrix (4 Mono, 4 Stereo) – assigned to Bank 3, Layer 3
• 12 Control Groups – assigned to Bank 3, Layer 5
