General
This dialog box concerns the identity information
of your device: The Bluetooth device name, and
the Bluetooth device address, device class, and
service class (which will all be explained in the
following.) Furthermore, the dialog box shows a
list of the remote devices that your device is
currently connected to, if any.
Bluetooth device name: Here you can insert
the name that you want your device to
present itself with when discovered by
another device.
Bluetooth device address, device class,
and service class: Unique factory-set
identity information sent to devices carrying
out device or service discovery on your
device. The information is transferred
automatically, and it will not appear on the
remote user’s screen.
Modes
The Local Device Properties item Modes
concerns various aspects of link establishment.
Here you can set such parameters as the
connectability, discoverability, pairing, and
security of your device:
