Block Size for V.42
Sets the maximum block size during connection. This option forces the modem chip set to transmit smaller
blocks of data. The command is typically used for poor quality telephone lines where transmitting smaller
blocks reduces retransmission and improves throughput.
\A0: Max 64 characters.
\A1: Max 128 characters.
\A2: Max 192 characters.
* \A3: Max 256 characters.
Result Codes:
OK Returned when

Result Codes:
OK If connected in data mode.

Set Autoreliable Buffer
Defines whether the modem buffers the data it receives during link negotiation.
* \C0: Do not buffer data.
\C1: Buffers data on answering modem for 4 seconds, until 200 characters have been buffered, then
switches to normal mode and the buffered characters are passed to the serial port. If a SYN
character is detected, reliable mode is attempted.
\C2: Does not buffer data on answering modem. Switches to normal mode upon receipt of
autoreliable character and passes it to serial port.
Result Codes:
OK Returned when
n
= 0, 1 or 2.
ERROR Returned for any other value of

Set Modem Port Flow Control (Only in Normal Mode)
Selects the modem’s DCE or port flow control. If the modem is receiving data from the remote modem
faster than it can be processed, enabling port flow control allows the modem to handle the data efficiently.
* \G0: Disable port flow control.
\G1: Set port flow control to XON/XOFF flow control.
Result Codes:
OK Returned when
n
= 0 or 1.
