The DVM-4200 is a member of the HYDRA series of cards designed to put multiple video and audio channels onto one
strand of fiber. It is ideal for applications such as SNG, ENG, field production and military applications.
The DVM-4200 transports 4 video and 16 audio channels.
All digital processing of video and audio exceeds RS-250C Short Haul specifications.
Other members of the HYDRA family include the DVM-8200 which provides transport for 8 video and 32 audio channels.
The DVM-4200 can be coupled with advanced CWDM technology so that a single fiber can be configured to carry any
combination of video and audio signals.
The HYDRA series can be combined with the TAC-2000 Tactical fiber cable/spool assembly making it the perfect solution
for remote broadcast and military applications.
DVM-4200
DESCRIPTION
. The system is 100% DIGITAL, high density and modular in design for complete versatility and expansion. Don’t use 20-
year-old analog technology.
. Applications include links Sports, ENG, SNG, Field Production, Film, Studio to Studio, STL, Studio to Head-end, Military,
Surveillance plus many more.
The system is ideal for sports, electronic news gathering (ENG), field remotes, conventions, concerts and stadium events.
Thetransmitter and receiver units are connected with the military approved tactical fiber optic cable system, TAC-2000.
The system consists of a ruggedized field unit, which is water resistant and fully configurable.
The other end of the system is also fully configurable and rack-mountable in one, two or three rack units depending on the
features. The TAC-2000 is available in 4, 8 and 12 fiber optic cable configurations.
The Video and Fiber Optic Transport offers state-of-the-art performance exceeding RS250C Short-haul and Broadcast
Specifications.
