EOSXplorer™ Software Interface
The EOS GUI Software greatly simplifies config- uration
management. Configurations can be saved and restored on-the-
fly—which means only having to create that configuration once!
EOS GUI also provides the user with real-time monitor- ing of the
unit’s chassis and port cards. Configurations Simplified With EOS
GUI, manual rewiring is a thing of the past. There are two
methods whereby configurations can be modified and created. In
the Physical View (see Screen-shot 1), the usercan simply click
on a port and drag it to any available port. The user
can select the Highlight feature by right-clicking on a given port to
determine the ports it is currently connected with. In the Logical
View (see Screenshot 2), the user is presented with a highly intu-
itive Windows Explorer-like interface for creating and managing
configurations. Drag & drop functionality makes configuration a
breeze. Monitoring Made Easy EOS GUI allows the user to
monitor the health of the switch chassis and port cards. Forthe
chassis (see Screenshot 3); temperature readings are available for
the crosspoint, backplane, and controller card, Fan speeds are
depicted as well. Historical data is also logged on a chart, allowing
the user to determine the switch state during a specified period of
time. For the port cards, the temperature and historical charts are
similarly available (see Screenshot 4).
