10 BY 1 VIDEO and AUDIO SWITCHER
• Vertical interval sw itching of 1 video and up to 3 audio channels w ith a 10 by 1 matrix.
• Includes 1 video and 2 audio break-aw ays.
• Clamped video inputs and output.
• 30 MHz video bandwidth, ideal for HDTV, NTSC, PAL and SECAM video signals.
• Front panel video and audio gain adjustments.
• Loop-through video inputs, 4 video outputs and optional audio interface panel for XLR connectors.
• 3 LED VU meters, one for each audio channel (optional).
• Internal 12 Watt audio power amplifier to selectively monitor the Left, Right, Left + Right and Auxiliary audio channels
with a Push Button Volume Control. An external speaker can be connected to the audio monitor output (optional).
• The AutoCompare or chop feature allow s the user to easily compare the level, horizontal phase & subcarrier phase
of tw o video channels. In the AutoCompare mode, the Sw itcher w ill alternately switch betw een tw o video channels. The
resulting output is the equivalent of both video signals superimposed over each other.
• Remote Control Panels are optionally available w hich operate at distances of up to 3000 feet over a standard audio
cable without an external power source. Power is supplied to the remote panels through the control cable.
• Supports RS-232 remote control through a modem or dumb terminal. The Sw itcher gives the user prompts for control and
displays the output status.
• Switchers can be ganged together to form a 10 by N and a N by 1 matrix for larger applications w here more inputs or
outputs are required such as RGB or Component Video. The 10X3 Adapter Panel w ith XLR connectors is optionally
available to bridge the audio inputs of 3 or more VAS-1000 sw itchers for a 10 by 3+ matrix.
