In addition to using the alphabetic and numeric keys on the IBM PC/AT keyboard to enter information such as
part name, part number, address, etc, the IBM PC/AT keyboard can also be used to control other scale functions.
The IBM PC/AT keyboard is mapped to the scale functions as follows:
12.4 Connecting a Barcode Scanner
The DC-200/300 will accept a barcode scanner connected either to a RS232C port (RS232 scanner) or to the
IBM keyboard port (wedge scanner that emulates a keyboard). In order to use a scanner, you must set the
Customer Specifications of the DC-200/300 scale to recognize the scanner, connect the scanner to the
appropriate port and, in some cases, do the setup on the scanner required by the scanner manufacturer.
