TO INSTALL PROGRAM:
1. Switch to A: or B: drive
2. Type INSTALL
The program will make a directory under the C: drive called DC150BAK
with it’s own sub-directory called FILES.
3. Baud rate default ,4800 Baid
TO USE THE PROGRAM:
1. At the C:\ prompt, change directory to DC150BAK
2. Type DC150BAK
3. Enter the serial port you will use to connect to the DC-150.
(The 9 pin port on most computers is usually number 1).
4. Enter the direction of transfer.
F is for taking data (F)rom the scale to the computer
T is for taking data from the computer (T)o the scale.
5. Enter the filename to be transferred.
Any 8 characters DOS compliant filename will do, followed by 3 character extension.
It is recommended that the following naming procedure be used:
XXXXXXXX.SPC - for specification data
XXXXXXXX.FMT - for format data
XXXXXXXX.JOB - for auto job file data
XXXXXXXX.ITM - for inventory data
XXXXXXXX.ADD - for address label data
When transferring a file from the computer to the scale, data in the scale will not be
lost.
New data for an ID code already in memory in the scale will be overwritten by the data
coming from the computer.
TO SET THE SCALE FOR DATA TRANSFER:
1. Press the MODE key to get to the MAINTENANCE MODE.
2. Press the ENTER key and then the RIGHT ARROW key four times until the display reads:
DATA TRANSFER.
3. Press the ENTER and, using the RIGHT ARROW and LEFT ARROW keys,
select the type of data you wish to transfer.
4. Press the ENTER key and then use the + or - keys to select READ or WRITE.
Select READ to send data from the computer into the scale.
Select WRITE to send data from the scale to the computer.
5. Press ENTER and the scale will display the operation in progress.
6. Press AUTO/MANUAL to return to previous screen.
