Product compliance also includes requirements for providing certain
information to users (customers’ manuals, brochures and data
sheets); record keeping and notification; product recall administra-
tion; variances and exemptions; and model reporting and notifica-
tion requirements.
As these issues relate more to the sales and administration of the
product, they are not included in this design aid. For further infor-
mation, please contact a laser safety certification service.
As stated in the beginning of this section, the information presented
here is provided to give the System integrator some recommenda-
tions on safety requirements when incorporating a laser into an end
product. It is by no means complete. The System integrator is
responsible for insuring that their system will meet all of the neces-
sary safety regulations and requirements.
