6.7.7 MGT_MSG_NTP_SYNC – Timestamping Resynchronization Indication
Synopsis
Message sent if a significant time difference between the board and the host is detected. This message is
generated only if received message timestamping is configured. See Section 4.9, “Received Message
Timestamping” on page 39 for more information.
Format
Description
The MGT_MSG_NTP_SYNC message is used to notify the host about step time updates.
Parameters
The MGT_MSG_NTP_SYNC message contains the following parameters:
• Adjustment timer integer
A 4-byte value containing the number of whole seconds in the time step indicated.
• Adjustment timer fraction
A 4-byte value containing the fraction of a second in the time step indicated.
