To start an empty configuration:
1. Click Start > Run.
2. To enter the path to the Dialogic
®
Diva
®
Configuration Manager, type, for example:
C:\Temp\DIVA\Disrvcfg.EXE
(where C: is the hard disk drive letter).
Click OK.
3. The Diva Configuration Manager is displayed with no components:
4. You can now do a complete manual configuration as described in "Configuring" in the Diva Configuration
Manager Online Help file (DSMain.chm).
Note: If configuration files have been created before, you can start the Diva Configuration Manager and
load a configuration file. The configuration file is displayed and you can modify it according to your
requirements.
To activate an existing configuration
To activate a configuration file for your system, open the configuration file and click File > Activate; or click
the activate button in the toolbar.
Note: You can only activate a configuration file for your system if the Dialogic
®
Diva
®
Media Boards that are
available in the Diva Configuration Manager correspond to the Diva Media Boards that are physically installed in
your computer.
Activating 256 ms Echo Cancellation on Dialogic
®
Diva
®
V-2PRI and V-4PRI Media Boards
For typical applications, the Echo Canceller tail length is set to 128 ms. In some cases, it might be useful to use
an Echo Canceller tail length of 256 ms. Note that 128 ms tail length is the default value that is already preset
on the Dialogic
®
Diva
®
Media Boards.
To activate the 256 ms echo cancellation:
1. Open a text editor and write the following: Write ="Config\Echo Canceller\Sparse Span" W 256
for an Echo Canceller of 256 ms. You can also enter any other value between 0 and 256 for a shorter tail length.
2. Press Enter to create a blank line.
3. Save the text file as adapter.cfg under %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\drivers\disdn.
4. Restart your PC to activate the echo cancellation.
