Connecting to MIDI devices
15
MIDI is short for “Musical Instrument Digital Interface”. When you play on
the CLASSICO L3 keyboard, your instrument transmits MIDI data to its MIDI
OUT socket (or to the USB COMPUTER port).
How to connect a MIDI device, refer to "Connecting the CLASSICO L3 to
MIDI devices" (p. 18).
Transmitting and Receiving MIDI Data
Each division and section of the keyboard has its own MIDI channel.
The transmit and receive channels of the Keyboard parts are set as follows:
Keyboard part MIDI Channel
Manual I 1
Manual II 2
Pedal 3
Orchestra Manual I 4
Orchestra Manual II 5
Orchestra Pedal 6
Piano/Harpsichord 7
Recalling Memories via MIDI
This function come in useful to recall memories from a MIDI device
connected to the CLASSICO L3 MIDI IN socket or USB COMPUTER
port.
MEMO
To recall memories using the Memory Pistons, see "Working
with Memory Pistons" (p. 33).
To select the single registration you have to send via MIDI channel
15 the following MIDI messages:
MIDI CHANNEL: 15
MIDI Message Value Memory Pistons
CC 32 0,1,2
PG 1,2,3,4
For example, to select the bank M2 that contains the registration
you need, send the CC 32 with value 1.
To select the registration 3, you need to send the PG with value 3.
IMPORTANT TIPS
When you recall a registration, you recall the tone memorized in
that registration. This a way to change tone via MIDI and use it
by MIDI external sequencer.
