3. Press the DOWN button to highlight
“Start Sensor.”
• The “Start Sensor” menu option will
disappear from the Main Menu after you
select it. The option will only come back
after an active sensor session ends. If you
do not see the “Start Sensor” option on
your menu screen, you can continue your
current session or stop the session (refer
to Chapter 13, Section 13.6, Sensor Shut-Off Troubleshooting).
4. Press the SELECTbuttontoconrmthe
start of a new sensor session. The Start
Sensor “thinking” screen lets you know your
sensor 2-hour startup has begun.
5. Your receiver returns to the 3-hour trend graph.
6. Check your receiver 10 minutes after
starting your sensor session to make
sure your receiver and transmitter are
communicating. The antenna symbol
should be in the upper left corner of
trend graph. If the out of range symbol
shows in the upper right corner of the trend
graph, see Chapter 13, Section 13.10, Out
of Range/No Antenna.
7. You will not get sensor glucose readings or alerts until your 2-hour
startupperiodendsandyoucompleteyourrstcalibrations.See
Chapter 7, Section 7.3, Startup Calibration.
