Stop using the transmitter and contact Dexcom Technical Support
if signs of deterioration are noted. Signs of deterioration include
corrosion or discoloration on the metal transmitter contacts, pitting of
the transmitter’s gray epoxy surface, reduced legibility of the text on the
bottom of the transmitter, or any other visual changes to the transmitter.
Repeated sensor failures (see Chapter 13, Section 13.6.1, Sensor Failed
screen) or glucose reading errors ( symbol, see Chapter 8, Section
8.3, Glucose Status Area Symbols in Both Real-Time and Blinded
Modes) that occur with multiple sensors could indicate deterioration of
the transmitter.
