Residual Risks
In spite of the application of the relevant safety regulations
and the implementation of safety devices, certain residual risks
cannot be avoided. These are:
• Impairment of vision when looking directly intolight.

Specific Safety Rules for Task Lights
WARNING: Read all safety warnings and all
instructions for the battery pack and task light.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result
in electric shock, fire and/or seriousinjury.
• The task light can be placed on a floor or any other flat
surface. The adjustable handle allows the user to aim
the light as needed. The handle allows the user to hold
it if desired. There are threaded holes in the handle to
mount the light to atripod.
• The task light is intended for workspace lighting only.
Use as directed. Any other uses may result in risk of fire,
electric shock orelectrocution.
• Never use the task light in potentially
explosiveenvironments.
• Do not expose the task light to rain orsnow.
• Place the task light away from any heatsource.
WARNING: Do not look into the light beam for long
periods. Do not direct the light beam towards other
people oranimals. Optical radiation can damage theeyes.
• Do not disassemble task light. Take it to an authorised
service centre when service or repair is required. Incorrect
reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock, electrocution
orfire.
• When operating the task light outdoors, always provide
a drylocation.
• The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable;
when the light source reaches its end of life the whole
luminaire shall be replaced.
• This light is dust protected and splashproof according to
protection class IP54. Do not submerge the tool inwater.
• Secure the task light in upright position whiletransporting.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, do not place
anything on top of the lens during or after operation
of thelight.
WARNING: Do not place the task light in a position
which may cause anyone to intentionally or
unintentionally stare into the task light. Serious eye
injury couldresult.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, read the
instructionmanual.

The definitions below describe the level of severity for each
signal word. Please read the manual and pay attention to
thesesymbols.
DANGER: Indicates an imminently hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or
seriousinjury.
WARNING: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, could result in death or
seriousinjury.
CAUTION: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, may result in minor or
moderateinjury.
NOTICE: Indicates a practice not related to
personal injury which, if not avoided, may result in
propertydamage.
Denotes risk of electricshock.
Denotes risk offire.
Important Safety Rules
WARNING! When using the area light, basic precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
a ) Read all the instructions before using the arealight.
b ) To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary
when an area light is used nearchildren.
c ) Do not operate any area light after it has received a
sharp blow, malfunctions or is dropped or damaged
in any manner. Return area light to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair, or
electrical or mechanicaladjustment.
d ) To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put area
light in water or other liquid. Do not place or store area
light where it can fall or be pulled into a tub orsink.
e ) Only use attachments recommended or sold by
themanufacturer.
f ) Risk of electric shock. Do not expose to rain.
