7.2 Example of a device file
To make setting up networks easier, we recommend that you manage the iden-
tifier data of the dLAN devices of your network in a text file. You can quickly and
easily import this device file in dLAN AVpro manager into the list of "Unused de-
vices" in the database. Each line of this device file may contain only one entry
for a device; this entry must consist of at least the security ID and the MAC ad-
dress of the dLAN device.
Optionally, you can already add a description of the respective dLAN device. You
can also add this description later.
You have to enter the two (or three) values of the identifier data of the dLAN de-
vice into one line, separated by commas (without spaces). The MAC address can
be written either with or without colons and is not case-sensitive.
Here is an example of a complete and correct device file:
