c) Finally, all that remains to be done onsite is to swap in the replacement
device, which has already been logically integrated into the respective net-
work, and swap out the defective device.
In the database of the respective network, (r) (=’replaced’) is automatically ap-
pended to the description of the replaced dLAN device to indicate the replace-
ment.
5.1.2 Calling up the list of the replaced dLAN devices of the net-
work
In the Device Menu (see Chap. 2.6.1.4), the menu item Replaced devices gives
you an overview list of those dLAN devices that have been replaced by others in
the selected network.
You have two options here:
1. You can delete a replaced dLAN device from this overview list and thus
remove it from its existing network allocation in the database by selecting it
in the overview list and clicking on „Back to list of unused devices“. This
action moves the respective device to the list of "Unused devices" (see
Chap. 2.6). From there, you can add it to another network of your database
as needed.
2. If the replaced device has since been integrated into a network managed in
another database, you have to delete the respective dLAN device from the
list of „Unused devices“ in your database. Select the device in the list and
click on Delete. This deletes the device from the currently open database.
