4.3.6 VLAN settings
Some dLAN devices have special features for processing tagged VLAN data traf-
fic in accordance with IEEE 802.1Q and IEEE 802.1p. You can also use this to
take advantage of the various benefits of VLANs in your dLAN.
VLAN is an abbreviation for Virtual Local Area Network.
To change VLAN settings for a dLAN device in a network, open the device's con-
text menu by right-clicking and click on the menu item Edit VLAN settings in the
context menu.
This menu item is only available for dLAN devices whose VLAN settings can be
configured through dLAN AVpro manager.
The VLAN settings for the dLAN 200 AVpro Wireless N can only be configured
using the respective device's configuration website. You can get to the site via
the "Open configuration website" menu item.
You can activate a dLAN device's VLAN functions with dLAN AVpro manager by
placing a mark in the VLAN configuration dialog next to Switch on VLAN.
You can assign VLAN numbers to the VLAN IDs [1 to 4094] that you consider
important in order to enable clearly arranged configuration. Since only a few of
