This is why a warning notice appears when moving a master; you have to con-
firm this warning notice to have your changes take effect.
By definition, there is a maximum of one master in each MDU network segment.
Thus, setting up a new master automatically establishes a new MDU segment.
You remove a device from a network by dragging it from the opened network to
the list of "Unused devices". It is then once again available there as a "free de-
vice".
Dragging a device to the list of "Unused devices"
automatically resets the device
to its factory default settings, with the exception of its network password. The
existing network password is overwritten by a random sequence of characters in
the process.
You can rename your network after slowly double-clicking on the network name.
4.2.5 Adding additional networks
You can manage multiple networks in parallel in one database file as needed us-
ing dLAN AVpro manager. This can be advantageous if, for instance, multiple
application scenarios (e.g. rooms or buildings) have to be mapped in the data-
base.
You can create a new network in the database by clicking on Add
[Ctrl-T] in the
Network menu
. The network name is automatically assigned by dLAN AVpro
manager and numbered in ascending order. However, you can also enter a net-
