devolo dLAN AVpro manager

Not all dLAN devices support dimming your LEDs. In addition, some dLAN
devices do not allow all LEDs to be switched off. Details can be found in the
manual for the respective device.
3.3.4.3 Turning off energy saving mode
Some dLAN devices offer an energy saving mode ('Standby'). If the energy sav-
ing mode for the device is activated, its Ethernet interfaces are switched off if
after a certain time there has been no further data transmission over the inter-
faces. This saves energy.
In some scenarios, the dLAN devices have to continuously be accessible via
Ethernet. In this case, you have to block the energy saving mode in these devices
by checking the Disable energy saving mode box.
To confirm your entry, click on OK.
Switching off the energy saving mode is supported by the following dLAN
devices:
 dLAN 200 AVpro Wireless N
 dLAN 200 AVpro WP II
 dLAN 200 AVpro mini
 dLAN 500 AVpro+
 dLAN 200 AVpro DINrail
 dLAN 500 AVpro UNI
If the energy saving mode in a dLAN device is activated, there is a risk that net-
work component function will be negatively impacted by disabling the Ethernet
interfaces. If the respective dLAN device is connected via Ethernet to the com-
puter on which dLAN AVpro manager is running, the management system, for
example, is disconnected from its dLAN and can consequentially neither be con-
figured nor provide information on the status of the network.
