The name and the description of the dLAN device
(this information is optional)
The security ID of the dLAN device
The MAC address of the dLAN device
The location of the device (for remote access)
You can find the MAC address and the security ID of the device on the device
label on the housing underside.
The possible locations have to be predefined in the location field of the remote
access dialog (see Chap. 4.4.3). If nothing has been entered there, you cannot
select anything in the Location field of the device ID
.
Search devices ...
By clicking on the menu item or using the key combination [Ctrl-F], you
can search your network for the correct dLAN devices by selecting/input-
ting certain search criteria.
List of replaced devices ...
By clicking on the menu item or using the key combination [Ctrl-R], you
can generate a list of dLAN devices which have been replaced by other
dLAN devices in your dLAN. The replaced dLAN devices can then be
deleted from the database.
Reset device
Use this menu item if you want to reset multiple locally connected dLAN
devices that are not in the "Unused devices" menu list to their factory
default settings. In this case, the MAC addresses of these locally con-
nected devices are shown in a list. Select a device to reset it to its factory
defaults by selecting its MAC address in the list.
Devices that are not in the "Unused devices" list must be reset via their
context menu (see Chap.5.2).
Configure device
This menu item cannot yet be activated in this menu. Its function corre-
sponds to the menu item Configure device in the context menus of the
device in the "Unused devices" list (see Chap. 5.1.3).
Refresh
The function of this menu item corresponds to the function key [F5]. With
it, you can update the view of the devices in the lists.
