Interfacing with external modules

This section will show you how to connect other modules to the dS1242 and dS3484.

Connecting an LDC05

The images above show how to connect an LCD05 display module to the dS3484, in this case

to serial port 1. Our 4 way split cable is used without any wires crossing over. Either serial port

1 or 2 may be used on the dS3484 (or both). The dS1242 only has serial port 1 available.

There are a number of examples provided that use an LCD05 to display information, the

simplest being “Hello World”.
