z Install upper thrust ring halves according to meas-

ured axial clearance.

Oil grooves (1) of the thrust ring halves

face the crankshaft web face (2).

Insert thrust ring halves between crank-

case and crankshaft web (arrow).

z Fix thrust ring halves with a little grease to the bear-

ing cap.

z Install lower thrust ring halves according to meas-

ured axial backlash.

Use thrust ring halves with guide

lug (arrow).

The oil grooves (1) face the crankshaft web

face.

Bearing cap has identification “3“.

z Insert bearing cap (1).

z Align bearing cap.

The identification "3" on the bearing cap

must be legible from the flywheel side.

Press the crankshaft to the flywheel side

first and then in the opposite direction.
