Diagram for measuring the cylinder run-

ning surface at the points "a" and "b" in the

levels "1 - 4".

z Remove shim ring (1).

z Visually inspect collar rest (arrow).

z Visually inspect sealing surface.

z Insert internal measuring device.

z Balance the internal measuring device at the given

measuring points and read off the measured value at

the reversal point of the pointer.

When the wear limit is reached, the cylin-

der liner must be renewed.
