● Set the dial gauge with probe pin to position (I) at a
right angle to the connection housing.
● Apply the probe pin to the connection housing with
pre-tension.

● Adjust dial gauge to "0".

● Turn the crankshaft slowly to position (II).
● Read off measured value.
● Note measured value, dimension (a).
● Note the measured value (a) with the appropriate
sign on the measurement sheet.
