If trouble arises, for instance with the build-up or drop of hydraulic pressure, proceed as follows:
with pump (1) in vertical position (hose connection down), work lever (4) quickly up and down, while
opening and closing shut-off wheel (6). Inspect ball valve in the support of gauge (7) and, if necessary,
recondition.
Included in the set of reserve parts supplied with the engine is a pressure gauge also fitted with a safety half-
coupling (12) for connection to one of hoses (8); this spare gauge can be used for calibrating regular gauge (7).
