Removing the main bearing
z Insert thrust pad (1) in bearing bush.
z Insert threaded rod (2).
z Insert counter support (3).
z Mount washers and screw on nuts.

z Turn the nut (1) clockwise.
z Dismantle assembly tool.
z Remove bearing bush.
The bearing bush is pressed onto the
crankcase by the thrust pad.

z Clamp main bearing housing in the vice.
z Insert thrust pad (1) in bearing bush.
z Insert threaded rod (2).
z Insert counter support (3).
z Mount washers and screw on nuts.
z Turn nut (4) clockwise.
Use cushioned jaws.
The bearing bush is pressed onto the main
bearing housing by the thrust pad.
