● Remove injection lines.

● Remove lifting magnet (engine shutdown).

● Turn crankshaft until the valves of the respective cyl-
inder overlap.
Arrangement of the inlet and exhaust val-
ves.
IN = inlet valve
EX = exhaust valve
Valve overlap means:
The inlet valve starts opening,exhaust
valve closes.
Attention!
In case of internal exhaust gas recircula-
tion, the inlet valve is opened briefly by an
additional cam on the camshaft.
This is not to be confused with the valve
overlap.
