Install front cover

z Knock out crankshaft sealing ring (1).

Note

Do not damage the sealing surface when

knocking out.

z Clean the sealing surfaces on the front cover and

crankcase.

z Oil the sealing lip of the new crankshaft sealing ring

lightly with engine oil.

z Fit the crankshaft sealing ring (1) to the assembly

sleeve(2).

Note

The sealing lip must face the crankshaft in

assembly.

z Drive in crankshaft sealing ring with assembly tool.

z Press in assembly tool to stop.

Note

The installation depth of the crankshaft

sealing ring is determined by the assembly

tool.
