Install tappets

z Oil all tappets (arrow) lightly with engine oil and

insert.

Note

Note assignment.

Install camshaft

z Oil camshaft bearing and camshaft journal lightly

with engine oil.

Note

The connecting surface (arrow) with the muff

of the measuring mechanism must be clean

and oil free.

z Insert camshaft carefully.

Note

- The muff of the measuring mechanism must

engage the front camshaft journal.

- Check that the bores (1) in the camshaft and

the crankcase match up.
