z Tighten center screw with the torque wrench in

engine direction of rotation with 40 Nm. Carefully

relieve pressure on the torque wrench.

Note

Do not turn the crankshaft any more.

z Turn in the setting bolt (1) to the crankshaft lock until

it is lightly touching the crankshaft.

Note

Do not turn the crankshaft when screwing in

the setting bolt.

z Make help marks (arrow) on the crankcase and

setting bolt.

z The engine control times are set correctly when the

setting bolt can be turned another 0.75 to 2.25 turns

up to the stop in the crankcase.

Note

If the screw-in depth "X" deviates from the

specification, the toothed belt and the

clamping roller must be changed.

z Renew toothed belt and clamping roller

z Unscrew the setting bolts for camshaft and

crankshaft locking.
