z Turn in self-tapping screw (1) with washer.

z Remove crankshaft sealing ring with suitable tool,

e.g. assembly lever.

z Visually inspect the running surface of the crankshaft

flange and front cover.

Install crankshaft sealing ring

z Oil the sealing lip of the new crankshaft sealing ring

lightly with engine oil.

z Fit the crankshaft sealing ring (1) to the assembly

tool (2).

Note

The sealing lip must face the crankshaft

in assembly.
