Note on hand wound watches
Hand wound watches are mechanical watches and do not require batteries.
The mechanical movement is started by winding the crown. The main spring
is thus tightened and provides a power reserve. The springs have a safety
mechanism which limits the number of revolutions and thus prevents
over-winding.
Your hand wound watch needs to be wound every day since the power
reserve only covers between 36-40 hours.
Daily winding guarantees consistent, precise time keeping.
