Checking the stabilising
device (on the side of the
friction pads)
Prerequisite: Connection to WS 3000, ball diameter 50 mm
Activate the stabilising mechanism. To do so, press the coupling handle from
the closed position (Fig. 165,1) downwards as far as it will go (Fig. 165,2).
The coupling handle contains a wear indication (Fig. 166) with a bar diagram
(Fig. 166,1).
z When the pin (Fig. 166,2) is located on the oblong hole with the marking "+", the
friction pads are still new.
z When the pin is located on the two middle markings, the friction pads are
slightly worn.
z When the pin is located on the markings with the "-", the friction pads are worn
and have to be replaced.
13.5 Braking system BPW/AL-KO chassis
Have maintenance work on the braking system carried out by a specialist work-
shop.
Look up the following table for the inspection deadlines.
