Chapter overview
This chapter contains instructions about living in the vehicle.
The instructions address the following topics:
opening and closing the doors and external flaps
ventilation of the vehicle
opening and closing the windows and blinds
opening and closing the skylights
rotating the seats
modifying the table surfaces
converting tables
positioning the television
adjusting the halogen spotlights

7.1 Doors
7.1.1 Conversion door, outside
Opening: Insert the key into locking cylinder (Fig. 32,1) and turn until the door lock is
unlatched.
Return the key to the central position and remove it.
Pull on the handle (Fig. 32,2). The door is open.
Only drive with locked doors.
Locking the doors can prevent them from opening of their own accord, e.g.
during an accident.
Locked doors also prevent forced entry, e.g. when waiting at traffic lights.
However, in an emergency, locked doors make it more difficult for helpers
to enter the vehicle.
When leaving the vehicle, always lock the doors.
Depending on the model, the locks of the driver's and the front passenger's
doors are part of the base vehicle. In this case, the opening and closing of
the driver's door and the front passenger's door is described in the oper-
ating manual of the base vehicle.
