1. Check that the batteries are correctly installed.
2. Check that you have selected your preference of lb/kg/st.
3. Check whether the scale is on a flat, level floor and not touching against a wall.
4. Do not step on scale until “0.0” appears.
5. If, when you step on the scale to activate it, there
is no display at all or “Lo ” is displayed -
Try new batteries (figure 5)
6. If “Err” is displayed, the scale has been
overloaded. (figure 6)

Replace Batteries
1. The glass platform will be slippery when it is wet. Keep dry.
2. Keep standing still during the course of weighing.
3. Treat the scale with care as it is a precise instrument.
4. Clean the scale with a damp cloth and avoid water getting inside the scale. DO NOT use chemical/abrasive cleaning agents.
5. Keep the scale in cool place with dry air.
6. If scale fails to turn on, check whether battery is installed properly, or battery power is low. Insert or replace new batteries.
7. If there is error on display or the scale will not turn off for a long period of time, please take out the battery for about
3 seconds, then install it again to correct error. If you cannot resolve the problem, please contact Detecto Customer
Service for consultation 800-336-5282.

2. Err = Instability Error. Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface. Step off and back onto the
scale, standing still while your weight computes.
3. This scale is designed to read weights between 6.6 and 400 lbs / 3 and 180 kgs / 0.47 and 28
ST 8lb . To prevent damage, do not place more than 400lbs / 180 kgs / 28ST 8lb on it.
4. The scale will turn off automatically if no loading in 30 seconds.
5. Scale will go back to zero 5 seconds after you step off of the scale. Once it is at zero, you
can weigh yourself again.
