This chart explains the five normal ways to arm the system from a Standard keypad. (For a Master keypad see page 37.)
The green Status Light must be on steady and the display* must read “Ready to Arm” in order to arm the system with one of
these commands. If the green Status Light is not on, or if the display* is reading “Not Ready,”
see Force Arming or Zone Bypass for other ways to arm the system.
Note: In commercial burglar alarm applications for U.L. Listed systems, a ring-back indication and bell
test should be heard after arming (closing). If not heard, call for service.
