ENGLISH INSTALLATION STEPS Pre-Installaon The Installaon should be completed on an asphalt/concrete surface, with sufficient area to work. Unpackage your new FRISTTRAX Snowplow, discard all shipping materials, recycle if possible. Once the plow is un-packaged, slowly roll the plow from its upright shipping configuraon over onto the built-in cart. Top up the oil reservoir to the fill line indicated with the 1L of hydraulic oil provided. Your new FIRSTTRAX Snowplow is now ready to be installed.
INSTALLATION STEPS ENGLISH Step 3 – Aaching the snowplow to the vehicle. Roll the plow to the front of your vehicle. The channel on the snowplow li frame is to fit around the cross bar on the mount. Helpful hint…have the channel which is to slide over the front cross bar parallel to the ground. To alter placement simply push or pull on the top linkage which will allow you to change the current resng place.
ENGLISH INSTALLATION STEPS Step 4 – Connect the main power hand held control. Insert the large blue or red plug on the main power cord running from the baery into the mang plug on the passenger’s side of the li link arm. Insert the handheld control plug into the matching rubber molded receptacle. Route the control wire up over the hood, under the driver’s side windshield wiper arm, around the driver’s side mirror and in through the window.
TROUBLESHOOTING ENGLISH Plow is not funconing: 1. Confirm the main power and control wire plugs are clean and properly connected 2. Confirm the control wire is properly connected to the hand held control. 3. Confirm that the main power inline breaker was not accidently tripped. Press the red buon on top and push the trip wing back in to reset Not the first three… 4.
ENGLISH TROUBLESHOOTING B - If the plow did not operate during the jumper test, check the small 10amp in line fuse down by the pump motor. If the fuse is ok remove the pump guard and with the use of a voltage tester confirm that there is 12volts on the main terminal where the red power lead is connected on the solenoid. If there is 12V supply try the next test to see if the control wire is defecve. Remove the cap on the main power feed and the green control wire from the solenoid.
ADJUSTMENTS If you are leaving the snowplow aached to a vehicle make sure rocker switch is in the middle posion on your hand held control when parked. If it is le in the down (or float mode) posion it will connue to consume power and eventually drain your baery Skid Shoe Adjustment With the use of two 1-1/8 open end wrenches loosen the jam nuts, adjust to desired height and reghten v.190915 En.
ENGLISH ADJUSTMENTS Drop Speed To adjust the drop speed of the blade when lowering loosen the 11/16 jam nut on the valve located at the front of the pump block below the down valve, adjust with a flat screw driver and re ghten the jam nut.
