7. HANGING THE FAN
REMEMBER to turn off the power. Follow the
steps below to hang your fan properly:
Step 1. Pass the 120-volt supply wires through
the center hole in the ceiling hanger bracket as
shown in Fig. 7.
Step 2. Secure the hanger bracket to the
ceiling outlet box with the screws and washers
provided with your outlet box.

Step 7. Place the downrod ball into the hanger
bracket socket. And rotate until groove in
hanger ball lines up with tab in hanger bracket.
(You will feel hanger ball drop into place as
you rotate.) (Fig. 10)

Step 3. Loosen the two set screws from the fan
motor assembly coupling.
Step 4. Remove the hanger pin and lock pin from
the downrod. Remove the hanger ball from the
downrod by loosening the hanger ball set screw,
and removing the cross pin, then sliding the
hanger ball off of the downrod.
Step 5. Carefully feed the fan wires and safety
cable up through the downrod. Thread the
downrod into the fan motor assembly coupling.
Line up the holes and replace the lock pin and
hanger pin. Tighten the set screws.
Step 6. Slip the coupling cover, canopy cover,
and canopy onto the downrod. Carefully reinstall
the hanger ball onto the downrod, and ensure
that the cross pinis in the correct position, the
set screws are tight, and the wires are not
twisted.
